2025.06.12

FSE co-signed the “Manifesto for the Protection of Authentic Creation“. It was launched on 9 June in Montreal, Canada, by six Quebec unions representing more than 25,000 artists, creators, performers, craftspeople, and technicians in the audiovisual and music industries, including SARTEC. Other international organisations joined the call, like International Affiliation of Writers Guilds, FIA – International Federation of Actors, FERA – Federation of European Screen Directors and FIM. The manifesto is also endorsed by the Writers Guild of Canada.

The statement outlines the core principles they believe must guide the responsible and cautious development of AI tools, along with their demands and recommendations addressed to provincial and federal policymakers, as well as key players across the industry.
