FSE STATEMENT
The Federation of Screenwriters in Europe welcomed the Writers Guild of Israel as a partner member in 2021. Many screenwriters around the globe are deeply impressed by the quality of Israeli writing for the screen. Friends and colleagues have written rewrites of Israeli shows for European audiences.
We are shocked, horrified at what has happened. Everything that seemed positive, normal, is now stained with innocent blood, with more death and destruction to follow.
We condemn absolutely the incomprehensible terrorist savagery of the slaughter by Hamas which took place in homes, streets, at a music festival.
Like people everywhere in the world we are sickened by the feeling of being powerless to help but at least we can reach out to our friends in Israel and express our support.
